You're Invited to Kiwanis Night! - 09/22/2016

Please join your fellow Kiwanians and guests for Kiwanis Night at The Country Club of North Carolina, Thursday, September 22. Social hour begins at 6 p.m. with a cash bar, followed by the dinner and program. Musical entertainment is provided by Paul Murphy. Please RSVP to President Melanie Gayle by email, mcgayle@sandhillschildrenscenter.org by Friday, September 16. Tickets are $25 per person. Come ring in the new Kiwanis year!

Join us Saturday, March 19 for our annual pancake breakfast at Kickback Jack's in Southern Pines for our fundraiser to benefit Moore County children. Each meal includes THREE pancakes, bacon and your choice of soda, coffee or tea. Builder's Cup Nominations Now Being Accepted - 01/12/2016

Please give thought to your choice of a community member who actively engages in making Moore County a better place. Make plans to attend Kickback Jack's on Sat., March 19 and bring your friends! We'll be serving up pancakes, bacon and choice of beverage for $7. All money raised goes toward serving the community. Tickets will be sent out in February, with additional tickets available at meetings or by contact Roy Neal.

The Carolinas District of Kiwanis will hold its 95th Annual Midyear Convention at The Carolina Hotel in Pinehurst from Friday, August 14 through Sunday, August 16. Carolinas District Gov. Gary Cooper encourages all local Kiwanis clubs to show strong representation and participate in the voting, camaradarie and future leadership of Kiwanis. All Moore County military children and families are invited to the 5th Annual Celebration of the Military Child on April 18 from noon until 3 p.m, sponsored by The Kiwanis of the Sandhills Club in partnership with the village of Pinehurst. The event is open to everyone, and we'll enjoy food, fun and entertainment as we support and celebrate all children with a family member serving in the military. The Kiwanis Club of the Sandhills gave a prestigious honor to one of its own this past week when Pilot publisher David Woronoff was named recipient of the club's 80th annual Builder's Cup award.
