In order to carry out all the projects that Kiwanis is involved with throughout the year, each member is asked to join one or more committees.

Aktion Club A service leadership program for adults with disabilities. Assistance is needed in advising during monthly meetings and in service projects and fundraising events.

Back Pack Pals Work with Food Bank to help assemble food bags for students in need over weekend
Blueberry Sales Our signature fundraiser providing sales of fresh blueberries to the community usually in early June. Need assistance in sales and delivery.
Board of Directors Administration of the club. Meetings on 4th Tuesday of the month.
Bug and Terrific Kids A Kiwanis Branded program for students in elementary schools that recognized students for achievement in academics and character building.
Builder's Club A Kiwanis branded Service Leadership program for students in middle school grades. Assistance is needed in advising capacity and in participating in fundraising and service projects.
Builder's Cup Award An annual community wide event honoring a local community leader who has consistently provided leadership and innovation to the upbuilding of the Sandhills area.
Builder's Cup Banquet The annual award banquet honoring the community citizen receiving this honor. Assistance needed in event planning.

Eliminate Project Providing ideas and local projects to support the Kiwanis International objective of eliminating Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus worldwide.
Fundraising Overseeing all fundraising efforts by the club including Oktoberfest, Pancake Breakfast, Raffle, Blueberry Sales and 50/50 drawing.
History Providing an interesting note of history of the Sandhills Kiwanis club and/or area once a month.
Holiday and Spiritual Life Lunch Programs Providing a special program 3-4 times per year to provide spiritual growth among members
House Reception and Fellowship Providing members opportunity to work reception desk each week and providing special events for fellowship among members
Human and Spirituality Issues
Illness and Visitation Committee Assuring that all members are updated on health issues of other members and those that are ill are visited and recognized
Interclub Visits Requirement of all Kiwanis clubs to visit each club in the division annually. At least 4 members need to be present.
John Williams Scholarship Annual scholarship given to a deserving Pinecrest High School senior who has shown outstanding ability and quality.
Junior Builder's Cup Award Interviews with the 4 top students of area High Schools to award scholarship.
Key Clubs High School Service Leadership programs sponsored by our club in Pinecrest High School, Union Pines High School and the O'Neal School. Assistance is needed in an Advising role and assisting with fundraising and service projects.
Member Excursions Opportunities for fellowship and learning beyond the weekly luncheon meetings.
Members Directory/ Publicity/ Photography Providing updated information to members directory and also events of meetings to local newspaper.
Membership Assuring the involvement of current members and providing opportunities for new members to join.
Military Child Education Coalition Assisting school district in providing leadership opportunities and advocacy to all military children in Moore County
Music/Songs To provide special music each week for our members during the luncheon meetings
Newsletter Providing information of club news, programming notes and other pertinent information for publication by mail and website.
Nominating Committee To ensure a slate of officers for the upcoming year as provided for in the By Laws.
Oktoberfest An event sponsored by the Village of Pinehurst in which our Kiwanis members provide beverages for the attendees for profit. Usually in September or early October of each year
Orientation and Education Ensuring that each new member receives an orientation about the history of the club and expectations of them as members.
Pancake Breakfast An annual event to raise funds for programming. Usually held in December or January.
Picquet Music Festival Annual event showcasing top high school musicians and competition to receive scholarship.

Public and Member Relations Assisting with the Talk With Sandhills Kiwanians, the Member's Directory and Publicity, the Newsletter, the website and the Awards and member recognition
Raffle An annual event that provides funds for the club and a community member with cash winnings and prizes. Usually held in December.
Scholarships Assisting with the Junior Builder's Cup Award interviews, the Piquet Music Festival, and the John Williams Scholarship

Spring Picnic Annual fellowship event usually in May and has historically been held at the home of Dr. John Monroe.
